Edible chocolate couture? That sounds too good to be true! Each year the world’s largest show dedicated to chocolate, the Salon du Chocolat, is held in Paris, part of a ten-city tour of sweet fashion and chocolate goodies. Delicious!

The Angry Little Girls series really makes me laugh! Sometimes it just sums everything up, doesn’t it? Created by Lela Lee, Angry Little Girls consist of Angry Kim (my personal fave, pictured above), Crazy Maria, Disenchanted Deborah, Fresh Wanda, and Gloomy Xyla.

I love the wicked-cool design of these posters, created for the Nordic Fashion Biennale. The first one was held last spring in Reykjavík, Iceland with a focus on west-Nordic fashion from Iceland, Greenland, and the Faeroe Islands, with over 60 participating designers, artists, and musicians from all over the world. I am a real sucker for Icelandic design sensibility, and I fell in love with many of the designs from the show straight away. Plus I love the unity of the graphic identity—from the website’s animated birds that swoop down to land on the mannequins, to the typography and stunning iconic posters—everything seemed to match the feel of the flowing garments perfectly, some of which loosely resembled the abstract forms of wings and feathers. Can’t wait to see what’s coming up for the next show!

When I first saw Lady Gaga strut her stuff in her infamous G-string leotards, truthfully I was a bit put off. But, as I saw more of her, I started to recognize the sheer daring creativity of her costumes, and meanwhile her music got me dancing. Her songs are a fun combo of pop dance energy and dark luscious lyrics that present stark juxtapositions to each other. You gotta love her energy!
